Our accessibility commitment
We follow recognized accessibility best practices to make content easier to read and interact with. Our goals are:
- Make content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people using a wide range of assistive technologies.
- Design pages with clear structure, semantic HTML, and consistent navigation.
- Keep images, videos, and interactive content accessible with alt text, captions, transcripts, and keyboard support where possible.
- Continuously test and improve accessibility as our site grows.
Standards and guidelines
We design and test Wellcend to confirm with:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, where feasible.
- Best practice recommendations from accessibility authorities and assistive technology vendors.
- Legal requirements in major jurisdictions, including the US and EU, as applicable to our operations.
What we do to improve accessibility
We use a combination of human review and automated tools to keep Wellcend accessible:
- Semantic HTML and ARIA were used where appropriate to help assistive technologies interpret content.
- Logical heading structure and skip links for faster navigation.
- Alt text for meaningful images and descriptive titles for media.
- Keyboard operability for navigation and interactive elements.
- Captioned or transcribed video where we control hosting. For third-party embeds, we provide text alternatives when available.
- Contrast checks for text and UI elements matched to our brand palette.
- Regular audits with automated scanners, manual checks, and assistive technology testing.
Known limitations and planned fixes
We are actively improving accessibility. Current limitations include:
- Some third-party widgets and embedded content may not fully support keyboard navigation or screen readers. We are identifying replacements or adding accessible fallbacks.
- Older archived images may lack ideal alt text. We are updating these as a priority.
- Some PDF documents may not be fully tagged. We are progressively replacing or tagging files for screen reader compatibility.
Planned fixes and review schedule:
- Quarterly accessibility audits.
- Monthly prioritization and remediation of issues found.
- Accessibility improvements are included in every design and content sprint.
How we test
Testing approaches we use:
- Automated scans using accessibility tools to identify common issues.
- Manual review by trained team members for semantic correctness and keyboard usability.
- User testing with assistive technology, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation.
- Cross-browser and cross-device checks, including mobile screen reader behavior.
Testing frequency:
- Automated scans run weekly.
- Manual checks are scheduled monthly and when major design changes are deployed.

- The page URL where the issue occurred.
