Our promise
We commit to:
- Correcting factual errors promptly and transparently.
- Updating reviews and guides when new data, safety notices, or product changes appear.
- Logging substantive changes so readers can see what changed and why.
- Responding to correction requests from readers and experts with respect and speed.
This policy works with our Editorial Policy and Medical Disclaimer.
What is a correction versus an update
Minor correction
Small fixes that do not change meaning. Examples:
- Typos and punctuation fixes
- Broken links replaced with working links
- Minor formatting errors
Minor corrections may be applied without a public note, but they are logged internally.
Substantive correction
Corrections that change facts or details that could influence decisions. Examples:
- Wrong ingredient doses or product specifications
- Incorrect study results or mischaracterized evidence
- Errors in safety or regulatory information
Substantive corrections are displayed on the article page with a visible correction note.
Update
Changes made to keep content current. Examples:
- New product formulas or versions
- New clinical evidence that affects a recommendation
- Price or availability changes when they affect value judgements
Updates are noted on the article as appropriate and logged internally.
How to report a problem
Please include:
- The page URL with the error.
- Exact text or a screenshot showing the issue.
- Why do you think it is incorrect or out of date?
- Any supporting sources you can share?
- Your contact details if you want a reply.
Send reports to: corrections@wellcend.com or info@wellcend.com
How we handle reported issues
- Acknowledge: We aim to acknowledge receipt within 5 business days for reports that include contact details.
- Triage: An editor reviews the report and classifies it as minor, substantive, or not valid.
- Verify: For substantive concerns, we verify facts using primary sources and, where needed, consult subject matter experts.
- Act: We correct or update the content. For substantive corrections, we add a visible note explaining what changed and why.
- Notify: If you reported the problem and provided contact details, we will send a summary of the action taken.
How the correction and update notes are shown
We place notes where they are most useful:
- Safety or clinical corrections: note at the top of the article.
- Other substantive corrections or updates: note near the top or in a dedicated updates section.
- Minor corrections: may not show a public note, but are recorded internally.
Sample notes
Correction
Correction: On 15 November 2025, we corrected the reported dosage for Product X, which was incorrectly listed. The product rating did not change.
Update
Update: On 10 November 2025, we updated this review after the manufacturer changed the formula. Sections on ingredients and results were revised.
Frequency of review
We review content according to sensitivity and traffic.
- High sensitivity (safety, clinical claims): at least every 6 to 12 months.
- Medium sensitivity (product reviews, tools): every 12 months or when new data emerges.
- Low sensitivity (background explainers): as needed.
We may accelerate reviews when new evidence, recalls, or regulatory actions appear.
Logging and transparency
For substantive corrections and major updates, we keep an internal record containing:
- Article title and URL
- Date of change
- Type of change (correction or update)
- Short reason for the change
- Editor or team member responsible
This record helps with audits and accountability.
Relationship with brands and partners
- Brand or manufacturer requests for corrections are treated like reader reports and verified independently.
- We never alter editorial conclusions in response to payment or commercial pressure. Editorial independence is maintained at all times.
Major safety or recall actions
If a product review requires urgent action due to new safety evidence or regulatory recalls, we will:
- Add a prominent safety notice at the top of the article.
- Update ratings and recommendations if necessary.
- Consider temporarily unpublishing content if it is no longer safe or accurate.
- Notify subscribers and relevant stakeholders if appropriate.
Reader and expert feedback
We welcome feedback from readers, clinicians, and researchers. When submitting, include supporting evidence where possible. We aim to respond to substantive inquiries and to explain our decision when we do not make a change.
