Editorial standards and sourcing
Evidence hierarchy
We evaluate evidence using a practical hierarchy:
- High-quality clinical trials and systematic reviews were available.
- Peer-reviewed research and official public health guidance.
- Manufacturer data and third-party lab results, clearly identified.
- Verified user experiences and real-world outcomes, used to add context.
All claims about efficacy, safety, or mechanism must link to primary or authoritative secondary sources when possible.
Source citation
- Every factual claim that is not common knowledge includes a source link.
- We prefer reputable journals, government agencies, and recognized medical bodies.
- When citing manufacturer material, we explicitly label it and explain limitations.
Transparency of limitations
When evidence is weak or mixed, we say so plainly. We avoid overstating benefits and flag safety concerns clearly.
